Artist Statement
For thirty years my art has tended toward minimal forms with an emphasis on color and light. My more recent paintings and prints reflect the current importance of the digital world. Consequently, the images are initially created on a computer and composed of thousands of zeros and ones in multiple layers. The images destined to become paintings are printed on canvas and then painted upon. Other images destined to become face-mounted prints are entirely designed on the computer. Most recently I have been experimenting with shaped canvases and prints. What connects the newer work with my earlier acrylic paintings is an emphasis upon achieving a formal elegance in every finished piece
