The Life of Trees
The Life of Trees
November 16 - December 23, 2022
Reception Wednesday, November 16th, 5:30 - 7:30pm
In my new body of work, I reveal glimpses of trees from Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. I am conscious of the changing seasons as light streams through from behind the trees. I am grateful that I am able to be here. If I return even an hour later, the light will be different. I capture the moment with my camera on a slow shutter speed.
With the photograph printed on canvas, I add many layers of oil paint to the surface to create abstracted dimension. It is an evolving process, an interplay of color, pattern, and space. I hope to inspire the viewer to stop, look, and breathe for a moment.
