Born in New Jersey, Tim Yankosky was exposed at an early age to his father's penchant for working with his hands and the tools needed for his various hobbies. "He was some what of a renaissance man, a jack of all trades...he was always fiddling with tools." This influence and the memories of his father tinkering away with his tools, most notably his tape measures, in part inspired Tim's current work.
Tim's process begins with "the hunt" which he admits he has down to a science. Once acquired, Tim begins to clean and cut the tape measures, transitioning their purpose away from functional.
