Born in upstate New York in 1967, Albert Dicruttalo grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in the post-industrial town of Gloversville. After studying art at Ithaca College, he continued making sculpture and traveled for extended periods in Alaska and South America. In 1994, he began working in the Program of Computer Graphics at Cornell University to investigate and utilize electronic technologies in the creation of sculpture.
Two years later Albert Dicruttalo established a studio and foundry in Oakland, California where he currently lives.
