Station Park Green is a large, mixed use development consisting of three large buildings surrounding an open space “courtyard.”
There are three site specific sculptures with the first one installed in the plaza surrounded on two sides by ground floor retail. The other two sides will have pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The plaza is a place of gathering and the main focal point to the retail space. With retail around the plaza the considerations for the artwork were to not block site lines and to abstractly define a gathering area.
The sculpture pictured here has three geometric forms connected together to create an abstracted “roof”. Each interacting plane is a different color creating framed views depending on the viewer’s location. The sculpture rises to 19’ tall
Status:
Installed 4th quarter, 2018
City Approval Required
