Fernando Carnaúba is a self-taught painter born and raised in Brazil. With a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Columbia University, Carnauba is currently a faculty member at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. His artistic practice combines inspirations from his Brazilian heritage and from his work supporting teachers and students in learning mathematics.
